Turkey: cooperation prospects are increasing.

According to Presidential Decree No. PQ-198 of June 20, 2023, “On additional measures to further improve the activities of Uzagrolizing JSC,” the company has been tasked with diversifying its operations, attracting foreign companies, and leasing modern greenhouse complexes and townships utilizing renewable energy sources (solar, wind, and geothermal energy).
To implement this decree, a working group consisting of the Chairman of the Board of “Uzagrolizing” JSC N. Otajonov, Chief Specialist of the “International Financial Institutions Relations” Department A. Abdukarimov, Advisor to the Chairman M. Mirabdullayev, and Consultant on International Economic Relations A. Petrov visited Turkey on a business trip.
During the visit to Istanbul, meetings were held with several large companies, including negotiations with GMK Energy CEO Selçuk Ilıkan.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that GMK Energy has been operating in the geothermal energy market for 15 years, providing engineering, design, consulting, and technical services for investors in geothermal power plants, district heating, greenhouses, as well as thermal hotels and resorts. As a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached to collaborate with GMK Energy on optimizing greenhouse heating costs through geothermal energy and enhancing energy efficiency in the planned project.
Negotiations also continued with representatives of TOPRAQ. It was noted that the company was founded in 2019 and has brought significant innovations to the agricultural sector by offering digital solutions that help farmers manage their fields, irrigation, crops, and profits efficiently. Given that TOPRAQ develops specialized solutions tailored to different crop needs and enhances the overall agricultural ecosystem, Uzagrolizing JSC and TOPRAQ reached preliminary agreements on automating greenhouse townships and integrating modern technologies, including artificial intelligence.
