As part of their visit to Uzbekistan, a delegation led by John Deere (USA) Vice President for CIS countries, P. Sachse, held a meeting with the management of Uzagrolizing Joint Stock Company. During the negotiations, the parties discussed their existing cooperation experience, opportunities for expansion, and future steps.
It is worth noting that Uzagrolizing has been providing John Deere equipment to farmers on a leasing basis for several years. In the past year alone, the company delivered 39 units of machinery worth 189.4 billion UZS to leaseholders.
The discussions covered various proposals to expand cooperation, simplify equipment delivery terms, develop favorable offers for farmers with limited financial resources, and establish John Deere demonstration parks in every region.
Additionally, the parties explored long-term and low-interest financing options for farmers, securing an initial investment of $10 million, and organizing visits to familiarize themselves with John Deere’s advanced practices and latest technologies, as initiated by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue discussions to implement these initiatives.
