A crucial period has begun for agriculture.
Every action taken directly impacts the quality and quantity of the future harvest. Acknowledging this responsibility, farmers of Kosonsoy district in Namangan region have united and actively begun seasonal agricultural work.
Currently, farms specialized in cotton production are finalizing preparations for sowing cotton seeds for the 2025 harvest. The land is being harrowed, fertilized, and ridges are being formed to prepare it for planting.
Now, using modern agro-technologies, cotton seeds are being sown under film, in a 76-row scheme, using the double-row method. This innovative approach helps increase yields and improve soil fertility.
This year, 3,204 hectares are planned for cotton sowing, of which 1,906 hectares will be planted under film. A total of 10,990 tons of raw cotton is expected to be harvested.
To achieve this goal, 13 land preparation and sowing units, 1 seed distribution center, 180 pieces of machinery and equipment, and over 30 specialists have been mobilized.
In addition, agro-technical measures are actively being carried out in wheat fields, including herbicide, fungicide, and suspension spraying against weeds, fertilization, regulation and concreting of irrigation canals, as well as planting mulberry and grape saplings along field edges.
